Profile
- you have a master’s degree in structural engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience
- you have sound technical knowledge, also of technical systems and you are familiar with public procurement legislation and other building-related regulations
- you are a coach who encourages and motivates your staff to achieve the predetermined targets together
- you work methodically, analytically and meticulously
- you are flexible, able to cope with stress and you respect deadlines
Position in the organisation
- in collaboration with the commercial director, you are responsible for the pre-screening of incoming dossiers
- you draw up the planning estimates on a weekly basis required for discussions with the directors
- you are in charge of a team of independent quantity surveyors, you provide them with the support they need and give them advice
- you also do the costings for certain projects yourself
- you ensure that the quotations are of a high standard and they are delivered to clients on time
- you are involved in the contract negotiations and monitor the estimates until the ordering phase
- you provide excellent estimating software with substantiated operations and an extensive database of suppliers and subcontractors
- you report to the commercial director
