Last night, we were awarded the VOKA Sustainable Entrepreneurship Charter for the fifth time running. Our HSE Manager & Prevention Advisor, Kurt, received the charter during the official award ceremony at Ghent University’s Palmarium.
VOKA issues this sustainability certificate as a reward for companies that make specific, proven efforts to translate their sustainability objectives into practice.
We were awarded the charter for last year’s sustainability plan and our achievement of several action points within the UN’s 5 Ps and 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
For example, we are resolutely committed to:
- the planet – through the electrification of our fleet, reuse of rainwater, and installation of solar panels
- people – through various health & well-being activities for our personnel and a private fitness centre at our office
- peace – through Ukrainian aid campaigns and setting up a professional after-care team
- prosperity – through on-site battery packs, a brainstorming room in our building, and progressive LEAN process optimisation
The assessment committee gave each one of these efforts a positive review.
Thank you, Voka, for the support and meaningful recognition and thank you, Wyckaert team, for your efforts this past year!
We’re already excitedly and enthusiastically working on this year’s sustainability objectives!
