Wyckaert participates in the Antwerp 10 miles

Last Sunday, 28/04/19, some athletes from Wyckaert, along with 27,693 others, were at the start of the Antwerp 10 miles.

A colorful international crowd with runners from 125 countries. The event has grown enormously in popularity in recent years. At the very first edition in 1986 there were 800 participants at the start.
Under a gray cloud, with occasionally some rain showers, they ran a 16,09 kilometer course. The drizzly weather was more than made up for by the enthusiasm of the 70,000 supporters present.

The highlights of the route were undoubtedly the Kennedy and Waasland Tunnels, but the atmospheric passage through the Antwerp university area and the numerous animation and DJ stands along the route made sure the ambiance remained at toplevel.

Congratulations Bernard, Kurt, Cenario, Philip, Pascale, Noor and Sven and a thank you to the 1,850 volunteers who made this event possible.
